The Good Will Fire Company is a 100% volunteer fire service that protects the lives and property of the communities of the Borough of West Chester, West Goshen Township, Westtown Township, Birmingham Township, East Bradford Township, and the entire township of Thornbury in Chester County. Organized over 170 years ago in 1833 we are one of three volunteer fire companies that cover our community. Together these three stations make up the West Chester Fire Department.

Our station is located at 552 E. Union Street in the Borough of West Chester. We respond to an average of 550-600 alarms per year and house six pieces of apparatus. We have an active crew of approximately 40 men and women that volunteer their time to train and respond to the calls for help in our community.

Located on our Maltese Cross are the following words, Dedication, Pride, and Valor. The Good Will Fire Company strives to use this motto in every response we make to our community.

Dedication: Complete and wholehearted fidelity.
Pride: Satisfaction taken in an achievement.
Valor: Courage and boldness, as in battle; bravery.

February 21, 2008 - Stations 52, 53 (Fame) and 55 ambulance (GFAC) were dispatched to the

Crews working in the garage

Meineke Car Center on the 200 blk. of E. Gay Street in West Chester for a reported heater fire. Assistant 53 (McDonald) arrived first and reported a working fire in the building. Assistant 52 (Cotter) arrived and assumed "Gay street command". Crews from Ladder 53 arrived and began ventilating the roof of the building as Engine 52-2's crew extinguished the fire from the interior of the building. Crews from Station 51 provided Rapid Intervention as well as assisted with overhaul of the building. Crews cleared the scene about 2 hours later.
