On Thursday at approximately 8:00 PM station 53 (Fame Fire Co.) was alerted to the 500 Block of Willowbrook lane for the Fire Alarm. Shortly after dispatch 911 Calls advised that there was smoke in the building and the assignment was upgraded.
Engine 53 and Ladder 53 arrived to find nothing showing and made entry into the building. Upon entry into the main lobby crews found a heavy smoke condition inside. Engine 51-2 (First West Chester Fire Co.) arrived as the second due engine and laid a supply line to Engine 53. Engine 52-2 (Capt P. Widmayer) took Engine 51-2's hydrant and sent there crew to assist. Fire was found in the walls and was quickly extinguished. Engine 52-2, Engine 52-1, Air 52, Assistant 52 and Chief 52 made the response. 52 units assisted with Search and ventilation. Units operated for a few hours assisting people back in to the building to gather there belongings.
