At approximately 3PM on Wednesday, January 6, Station 52 and Brush 51 were alerted to Route 202 Northbound, south of Route 3, for the brush fire. Chief 53 responded first and was advised that multiple calls were being received, reporting multiple fires along the side of the highway. Engine 52-2 and Brush 51 responded as Chief 53 arrived to find multiple 50'x100' fires in the woods between Route 202 and the neighboring cemetery. Tanker 52 then hit the street, followed by Engine 51-2 and after being requested Engine 53 and Brush 6 (West Whiteland) also responded. Due to the amount of fire equipment onscene, Route 202 was shut down on the northbound side for about a half hour while units worked on handling the fire.
