First off, I'd like to thank you all for your service in helping and even saving lives for the community as a volunteer firefighter. In this respect, I just donated $50 via paypal for your organization and I will do the same next year.
Often, when I see a fire truck on the road or firefighters who, not too long ago, came to my apt because the neighbor below me was cooking and set off the alarm (sorry about that), it reminded me of Sir Ken Robinson's TED talk about the story of a young man who wanted to be a firefighter. I wanted to send out a HUGE Thank You to Fireman Steve and the crew who helped with my son's Birthday party on Saturday Dec. 13th. I had 26 kids and was worried about keeping 26 5yr olds occupied. The activities took the entire 2hrs and the kids had a blast. This was by far the best birthday party I have ever been to and hosted. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is looking for the perfect birthday party for your child. Thank you again for making this a success and maybe we will see you again next year!

We would like to invite your members, family and friends to the ANNUAL 343 MILES for 343 FALLEN BROTHERS 9-11 MEMORIAL WALK/RUN.
On Sunday September 8th, 2013, the WALK/RUN will take place at Delcastle Park. The park is located on McKennan's Church Road between Duncan Road and Milltown Road in New Castle County, Delaware. The Bells of Remembrance FIRE BELL will be at the park prior to the start. This bell weighs in at 3,000 pounds and has a smaller bell next to it. Under the bell on the trailer are the names of all 346 ( 3 were added after the initial 343) FDNY members who were killed on 9-11-2001. The names are on bronze plaques. There will be a reading of the timeline and the small bell will ring for when each plane hit the towers, the pentagon, crashed in Shankesville, PA and when each tower fell. Then the sounding of the four fives will toll on the big bell. This will be the start of the 1 mile walk/run. Starting on the 10th anniversary we challenged fire companies to have their members walk with full gear. The turn out was unbelievable not only in gear but carrying tools and high rise packs. So now it is a tradition to walk with at least a helmet if not full gear. The walk run is open to everyone as we want to make sure the younger generation of not only firefighters but everyone know what happened and NEVER FORGET 9-11-2001.We have had National Guardsman in full packs, Cub Scouts Troops, Moms with strollers. As each person finishes they read the name of the FDNY member they walked in memory of and sound the bell one time. There will be shirts available at the park for a 10$ donation. We are supporting the National Fallen Fire Fighters Foundation (NFFF) and the Sons Of The Flag (SOTF) Burn Foundation this year.We want to grow this to 2,976 walkers and runners, one for each person killed on September 11, 2001. If you need additional information let me know.I attached a few pictures of the FIRE BELL and the plaques. THANKS for helping to NEVER FORGET!
STAY SAFE,
Kevin "Keats" Keating

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Jimmy Graham but I graduated high school with his mom and my daughter was his close friend. She has described him as a good friend, a gentleman, a great firefighter and a terrific father. I am sure that our community, his fellow firefighters, his family and all his friends will miss his smile and companionship for a very long time. God bless your soul Jimmy. May you rest in His Hands forever.
