Around 5AM on Friday, January 8, Engine Company 52 was alerted to the rear of the 200 block of East Gay Street in the first due for the auto fire. While members were arriving at the firehouse, Chester County Communications advised that they were receiving reports of extension to other vehicles. Engine 52-2 made the response, and arrived to find one vehicle well off, and confirming the report of possible extension, Engine 52-1 then followed. Crews placed a line inservice and made quick work of the fire, before returning about an hour later.
